During the period of 7-11 April four platform manager candidates from Wintershall fulfilled leadership training in Crises management in Petrolinks training centre at Kanalsletta in Stavanger.
Five intensive days of training were dedicated to lectures, individual development programs, practical exercises and candidate evaluation as emergency managers. The training was conducted by Petrolink’s department for Safety and Emergency Response Training, with contribution from external key note speakers.

Jan Gunnar Øyre, (Platform Manager, Brage) acted as Wintershall’s representative during the preparations for the course, and participated as part of the evaluations- and advisory group during the course, stated the following upon completion:

“ Petrolink did a professional job facilitating the course with a good agenda where the combination of theory and practical exercises made the week effective and very educational for the candidates. Petrolink provided professional and competent staff members in the exercise staff as well as during evaluation and feed-back to the candidates during the course. The inclusion of external speakers with a role within emergency response was beneficial and added to the candidates’ competence. Based on my experience from previous similar courses and the evaluation from the students from this course I would like to give credit to Petrolink for a solid course execution”
